How old do you have to be to get facials at a salon?

I really want to get a facial

i am only 14 but my skin is horrible

thanks for readingHow old do you have to be to get facials at a salon?
There aren't usually age limits. In fact, some spas offer treatments specifically targetted toward teen and pre-teen clients. The only things you might find restrictions on are things like chemical peels.

I live in Queens ny and looking for a good salon to do the brazilean keratin treatment on my hair. i have pretty short hair and i think salons i have checked are over pricing with 350 dollars to do it anyone know a cheaper salon i can do it at ??Does anyone know a good salon in ny to do the brazilean keratin treatment?
    ITS IMPORTANT TO READ ABOUT THE VERY SERIOUS HEALTH RISKS: ';Stylists and clients often wear gas masks or other protective equipment and still may feel the ill effects of this potentially fatal gas. Brazilian treatment often contains high concentrations of formaldehyde, a cancer-causing chemical.';

    ';Brazilian Keratin Treatments aren't dangerous only to the stylist. It is theorized that repeated treatments will cause formaldehyde buildup in the hair, releasing formaldehyde fumes every time a patron blow dries or hot-irons her hair. There has been at least one documented death from the treatment.';

    ';Its major ingredient is formaldehyde, which is classified as a human carcinogen by the International Agency on research for Cancer, part of the World Health Organization. In short, it can cause cancer. The solution contains 10 times more than the 0.2 % that is determined to be safe by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel, a group of scientists and doctors who assess and set recommended safety standards for cosmetics ingredients.';

Let your fingers do the walking in the Yellow Pages and give a couple of places a call.

I guess the asker needs to decide whether to have a beauty school student do her nails or a licensed cosmetologist.

When you go to a salon and you ask for a cap, what are you asking for?

many salons under dyeing services have this listed as a service... what is it?When you go to a salon and you ask for a cap, what are you asking for?
    you are asking for highlights.

you can have highlights put in your hair with a cap which is this :cap: that goes on you head and they pull the hair out with a plasticrod with a hook on the end and once they have all of the holes with hair through them they put the highlight mixture in.

if you dont do it with the cap you just take strands around you head and place highlight mixture on that way. When you go to a salon and you ask for a cap, what are you asking for?
It is when you get your hair frosted. They pull tiny strands of hair through this cap and apply the color only to those strands.

    Tanning Salons: 10 Points!!!!!?

I have another paper in Biology. It's about tanning beds, and whether they invcrease the risk of getting skin cancer. Also, what is the link between UV rays and cancer cells, and how a normal cell can turn into a cancer cell. Need some help, and include the website in which you got it from, because I need a bibliography.Tanning Salons: 10 Points!!!!!?
K tanning does increase your chances of skin cancer but it doesnt guarantee it which ignorant people think. if you drink enough water a day to keep your skin hydrated, itll keep it healthy. Just like the sun, you can get cancer from it.

how do you get it? if you /dont/ protect your skin the UV exposure will trigger something in a normal skin cell to start to grow abnormally at a out of control rate which gets a you a cancer cell.

How much doe it cost to get your hair highlighted in a salon?

    Dear Anne J,

It usually depends on what salon you go to, bc if you go to an expensive one its like $100 dollars or a cheap one the most is $60 dollars.

It also depends on how much of your hair you want highlighted some say a few streaks or a side and some other things.

If you want to dye your hair it usually is the same cost as highlights.

    Sincerely,

Juicy Couture Princess......How much doe it cost to get your hair highlighted in a salon?
it cost me about 100$ (with out tip) to get my whole head highlighted! ( with tip about $115)

hope i helped !How much doe it cost to get your hair highlighted in a salon?
    around 50 dollars.
Most places it runs about $65-$75. It really depends on where you go, how much hair you have and how many colors you want. The longer your hair the more that you will have to pay.
umm, my friend told me its alot...i guess it depends on how much hair you want to highlight..
i had to pay $50 but only because it was my first time in the salon and they were having a speacial. But mainly $65 to $100

    Dominican salons??????

I'm going 2 one and is it true that they talk TRASH about your hair while they do it? mine is really nappy so i wanted to know...Dominican salons??????
The one I went to in Washington Heights [NYC] did. I was currently going to a stylist but all my friends kept raving about this salon. My hair was at the half-point for a new relaxer and I knew that. When I sat down in the chair the first thing out of her mouth was you need a touch up, I can't do anything with your hair. I was like wow, are you kidding me?

I hope your experience is better than mine was.

    Hair salons !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I need a hair salon that does good emo/scene hair close to macon georgia. please add personal details about your experience if you went to a place that did it well and give me the name of the stylist that did ur hair and the phone number and city. PLEASE ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND NO JUDGING !!!!! xD

    Thanks so muchhh!!!!Hair salons !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Well, I don't like the idea of specifically going for an 'emo'(a depression disorder) style, but sometimes you can do a cut at home as good as one at a salon. My mother is great at cutting hair, try finding a friend or family member who can help you with yours! Save money too!

I went to the nail shop to get my nails done and I noticed on the walls all the Asian manicurist have American names on their license (i.e Sheila, Kathy, Jackson) but I know that it is not their birth names. Why is that? All the Asians that I know have Asian names. I wanted to ask when I was at the salon but I did not want to be offensive. Just curious. Thank youNail Salons?
because some asian names are really hard to pronounce and having american names would make it easier for the customers.Nail Salons?
so that it would be easy for white and black customers to refer to the asian manicurists since you guys have a hard time pronouncing asian names.
because alot of americans are racist when they see thier names. they may walk out because they think that immigrants can't do thier jobs properly. its the truth agree or not

I dont really know much about Boulder .. cuz i dont like it there .. wierd I know... but my best guess would be to look up some in the phone book or internet ... then go to a couple of them and ask some of the stylists what they have done ... maybe some of them have kept a portfolio of their work .. and based on that you might just cross your fingers and expect the worse .. and if you come out looking like a princess well then... you did good .. . and if not ... you expected the worse ... so you got what you expected ... and never go there again .... hope that helps ... sorry im a guy and dont know much about haircuts... Have a merry christmas!!

  • Im going to a tanning salon for the first time & have some questions?

    1. Do you just need a parents signiture if your under-age?

    2. What kind of lotion do you use, is it special or sun tan lotion?

    3. About how old should you be?

    4. Im on the plus-side, should I tan nude?

    5. Will anyone (staff, customers) see me during the tanning process(if I decide to go nude)

    6. How many times should I go?

    7. Do I REALLY have to wear those goggles?

    8. About how many days before an event should I get tanned?

    9. Should I shave before I tan? (some people have told me that you lose the tan faster if you shave the next day)

    10. Will there be step by step instructions on what to do?

    11. Do you have to tip the person who helps you like at a nail salon?

    12. ANYONE GO TO Hawaiian Bronze Tanning?Im going to a tanning salon for the first time %26amp; have some questions?
I tan about every day :]

    1. You need someone there over 18 to sign with you as a whitness.

    2. you aren't sposed to bring walmart lotions into salons try these lotions there are many different kinds http://www.lewiestanning.com/category_ne鈥?/a> your salon should have some that you can use or buy.

    3. It doesn't matter what age you only need someone with you thats 18 when you sign up. After that you can come in by yourself.

    4. Yes you should tan nude its the best it keeps you from having any tan lines and its very comfortable.

    5. NO, Noone will see you, you will be in a closed room with a lock away from anyone else.

    6. To really achieve a good tan i would say a couple times a week.

    7. No you dont have to but i advise you not to open your eyes then because it can damage your eyes really bad if you look around with your eyes open.

    8. It depends how well you tan, i tan every other day and if im going somewhere special i tan the day of the event.

    9. Yes you should shave BEFORE if you shave after your tan will get lighter. Also make sure you exfoliate with a good body scrub that will help you get rid of your dead skin.

    10. Not really its pretty simple they will give you a room, you put your lotion on, you'll push the on button/dial and then you get in.

    11. No you don't i actually didnt know you were sposed to tip the person at the nail salon haha.

    12. No i have no idea where it is but i go to ja makin me tan, ( i live in texas though)

GOOD LUCK %26amp;%26amp; i hope i could help.Im going to a tanning salon for the first time %26amp; have some questions?
    1. I believe the salon I went to required a parent's signature since I was under 18. I'm not sure if they all do or not though.

    2. I bought a special lotion. I know from experience that they do help you build up a tan faster then going without it, so even though it is kind of expensive it's definetly worth it.

    3. I was 17 when I started going, but I'm not sure at all if there is any reason that someone who is younger can not go-- sorry

    4. I believe that everyone should tan nude. It's the perfect way to be tan-line free.

    5. No one will see you. The place that I was at even had a lock on the door, but most of the time I forgot to lock it.

    6. How many times you will have to go depend on your skin type, and also why you want the tan (base tan or just a tan color all year long). That is something that the person working there should be able to tell you once they see your skin tone.

    7. Yes you should wear the goggles. Some people complain that they get tan lines, but hey most people wear sunglasses outside in the sun when their tanning and these goggles are much smaller than sunglasses. But the worker at my salon stressed wearing these or you can ruin your eyes.

    8. I tanned for my prom and I only went for 2 week-- BUT I tan very easliy to begin with, so it is different for everyone.

    9. I don't think it would matter when you shave. I never paid attention to it and the workers never said anything about it either.

    10. My salon did not have instructions posted, but the workers told me what to do (take off clothes, put on lotion, which buttons to press, how to work the radio, etc.)

    11. I did not tip, I don't think that most people do.

If you are just using tanning for an event, then I think it's okay. But just keep in mind that tanning all the time can damage your skin. And also tanning sprays and lotions work great also!
Yes you have to wear the goggles.

They having a special tanning lotion you need to buy there at the salon.

No one will see you naked.

Overweight looks good tanned as well as thinner people.

Whatever you decide just be sure and watch your butt. I burned mine the first time. I always keep my panties on now when I tan.
    1-Not sure, maybe

2-Any suntan lotion, they have expensive ones at the shop

    3-Depends

    4-Of course, if you want.

5-No one will see you. If they can, don't go there.

6-A good shop will have you complete a questionnaire to determine.

7-Absolutely! You don't want to see the pictures of those who didn't. It's really gross. Buy your own goggles.

8-A couple of weeks so you can build up.

    9-I usually do.

10-A good shop will show you around and explain how to use their equipment.

    11-No.

    12-No, never heard of it.
1.) you dont need your parents

2.)They will have lotions there you can buy. STAY AWAY FROM THE TINGLER LOTIONS!!! Make sure to ask for one that is NOT a tingler.

3.)I started when I was 14. I dont think you should be much younger than that.

4.)You can tan nude if you want to. Thats personal preference.

5.)No one will see you. you get your own lil room.

6.)I would start with 2 times a wk.

7.)You should. They protect ur eyes. Personally I just keep my eyes closed because I always fall asleep.

8.)Depending on how easily you tan and how tan you want to be, probably about 2 months.

9.)Yes shave before. There is a lotion called NO-Ad @ walmart that helps you keep ur tan

10.)Go in the room, get undressed, find the button to turn the bed on and jump in. it turns off on its own.

11.)I've never tipped at a tanning salon but you could.

    12.)Never been there
Ive been going tanning for a few years so I can answer all of these questions for you:

    1. Yes, if you are under the age of 18 you need your parent or legal guardian present to sign the consent forms for you to tan. Theres a spot for you to sign and a spot for them to sign.

    2. I use a tanning lotion called BELIEVE it's a special lotion with bronzer so it gives your skin tone that golden glow when you tan. It also has a great smell. They will tell you that lotions with tinglers or activators help your tan develop faster BUT THEY STING! Also if you use those kind and you go home and shower sometimes they can reactivate all over again so watch out for those!

    3. I think you can tan at any age. If your underage as long as your parents are okay with it you should be fine.

    4. I have some friends that tan nude and others that do not because they feel uncomfortable. It all depends on you. I tan nude because it prevents tan lines and you want an even tan otherwise it looks akward. A good all around even tan is the best way to go. It gives you a more natural look to where if you have lines people will know it's a fake tan.

    5. Nobody will see you during the process. The tanning beds are in individual rooms and you lock them from the inside when you go in. Then you change put on your lotion and tan. When you're done you get dressed and unlock the door and leave. NOBODY will see you.

    6. How many times should I go?

    7. Yes the goggles are very important. They prevent the UV rays from the tanning bed from messing up your eyes. If you do not wear the goggles chances are you will have some sort of eye damage later on. The goggles prevent that from happening. Some people try to cover their eyes with a towel because they do not want to wear the goggles but that is not suggested - goggles are the best way to go.

    8. It depends on your skin type. Some people tan quicker than others. When you go to the salon they usually give you a questionaire to fill it out and depending on your answers that tells you about how quickly you should tan. I'd say if you go everyday for a week you will see results, maybe even every other day. Once you get a tan you want you can cut it down and go once every few days or even once and week and it should maintain it's color.

    9. When you shave has nothing to do with your tan so shave whenver you want!

    10. They are instructions on what to do - usually if it's your first time the workers will answer any questions you have and take you on a tour and direct you on how to tan correctly. If not you can always ask and I'm sure they'd be happy to help you! If you are spray tanning they usually have a video that you watch that instructs you on what to do.

    11. No you do not tip. Theyre not really helping you. They just set up the timer and stuff and from there youre doing everything.

    12. I do not go there - I go to supertan and hawaii tan!

    I hope this helps!
    1. yes

    2. as long as the bottle says ';indoor tanning';, your good, but you might want something with a little spf if your fair skinned.

    3.?

    4. if you want to

    5. no

    6. start out going once a day starting out with 6-8

minutes then add 3-5 minutes everytime you go

back for like four or five days. then after that you only have to go every other day or every other couple of days.

    7. YES!!!

    8. id give it 5-7 days before an event

    9. yes

    10. prolly not, but the attendant will be more than

willing to explain anything to you, just ask.

    11. no

    12. no
    1. yes, if you are at a reputable salon

    2. you must use indoor lotions, there are varying kinds, start with a cooling lotion that has conditioners, NEVER use a sunblock or tanning oil blend designed for natural sun exposure

    3. Age is not so much of a factor, you should be old enough to realize and understand you are damaging your skin, and there are repercussion for doing this, including a possibility of cancer. you also should not be developing still, but I believe once you are old enough for the first thing I mentioned, you are old enough physically to tan. I personally would say around 18, any dermatologist or esthetician would say you are never old enough, its just too dangerous. Basically, once you are an adult, its up to you.

    4. Weight really doesn't matter as long as you're not heavy enough to break the bed.

    5. No one should see you, most tanning salons have locking doors and are very polite about policies concerning this. I'm sure somewhere sometimes there has been or is a salon where there are cameras (illegal) like there have been in public bathrooms, set up by some sicko, but very unlikely that would happen to be your salon.

    6. You need to discuss this with the employees at the salon, they will look at your skin and start you off at a safe # of minutes, you really need to give your skin a 24 hour break inbetween sessions, but if your skin feels tight or hurts or is flushed, its not ready to be exposed again. The less you tan, the healthier your skin will be, definitely do not overdo it, you will see the damage later.

    7. YYYYYYEEEEEESSSSS !!! You can go blind if you don't!!!!! wear them please! Your eyelids will not protect you!

    8. This depends on how tan you want to be, you need to give your skin rest time between tans, and leave yourself enough time to have enough sessions to get the desired results. If you are really white, the earlier you start the better, I would leave yourself generally 2 weeks to do this.

    9. Yes, or exfoliate. Getting the dead skin off helps you tan on fresh skin which will stay on longer, it also prevents the spotty shedding to a great degree. Don't be too rough though, don't exfoliate til your skin hurts or it will not be able to take the UV rays very well and you may get a rash

    10. Yes, talk to the salon staff, ask them all these questions again, they are all trained, and most beds operate differently. You should be given time to undress and apply lotion, and then there should be some button somewhere to start the bed.

    11. No, they don't expect it at most salons. Money is always appreciated, but I never tip them. They don't do anything service-wise. If you go to get airbrush tanned, then tip. Service should be tipped.

    12. Nope. Someone else might help you here.
i can only answer a few from knowledge because i have never tanned so:

Hello I'm a student at Cardiff uni and its pretty much the same for me. In Newport we have a local college where the students cut your hair for around a fiver. They are slower than normal hair salons but I highly recommend them as a) its cheap %26amp; b) they have got a professional there with them to give them guidance along the way so you will know that you are getting a really good cut. Most local colleges have hairdressing students.. give them a try xx

    Tanning salons? houston texas?

Does anyone know of an affordable tanning salon near Spring Texas?Tanning salons? houston texas?
Doesn't Darque Tan have a location about every 30 feet along any Houston freeway? They're always doing specials...you can tan for free, or for $5, or whatever.

If you can't afford the $20/month to tan on their cheap beds, you won't be able to pay for your skin cancer treatments in 10 years anyhow.Tanning salons? houston texas?
I use E-Z Tan on Champion Forest. They also have a store on Treaschwig. I think they have a web site so you can get directions. They have great beds and membership is reasonable.

Tanning salons or just natural sun?

Both (in a way). I think its good to be in natural sunlight as it has a proven chemical effect (for the good) on your body. But I do not feel that all of that tanning (in and out of doors) is good for you. I realize it involves chemicals (so far they are said to be safe) but I like the air brushing that some tanning salons do. However, the only natural way is still the sun.Tanning salons or just natural sun?
Natural sun. make sure you wear a light sunscreen.Tanning salons or just natural sun?
    what do u think?
I know that everyone is looking for that great tan, but both tanning salons or natural sun can cause skin cancer. Trust me I am now paying for my fun in the sun and in tanning salons. I know that everyone thinks that the tanning salons are safe and I am sure to sell the product they will tell you it is safe. Ask a doctor about it. Especially a specialist. Please be careful. If you do go in the sun, please get yourself a very good sun screen. Good luck!
    Tanning salons
Both give you leathery skin and sun damage, get a fake tan, a mystic spray, they have those at salons too, and it looks just as good.
Sun but be careful too much sun is harmful to the skin so make sure you have your sun screen .
Tanning salons are not a safe alternative to sun! Tanning beds do offer the ability to tan everywhere though. Just make sure it's a good bed. I recently had a bad experience, and for about the first week, my back had tanned in stripes.
Baking in a conventional Oven or a Microwave?

    Need I say more?
Tanning Salons!! It takes less time and the results are much more even.
Get a little natural sun, but not too much.

If you want a tan, get a spray-on one.

Tanning leads to prematurely aged skin at best, and cancer at worst.
    Both.
i personally do both. i use a tanning salon to help maintan my tan, but i really only get tanner when im at the beach in the sun. i NEVER just lay out in the sun, its really bad for your skin - and always use an SPF on your face! your face is naturally lighter than the rest of your body anyways.

also, please dont get a fake tan. people *say* they look good, but they peel off after a few weeks and its really gross, because a tan is actually in your skin, while the fake stuff is just on the top layer and comes off as your skin renews itself.
I'm inclined to say that the sun is so much safer than tanning beds. In fact, there are studies out that show the sun is actually healthy for the skin and it is the sun bloc applied that may in fact cause skin cancer.
the sun not that i need a tan anyway
    natural sun
Too much of either is bad for you.
I'll take 2 weeks in Hawaii any day over 100 tanning days in a salon!

Im just wondering, im cutting my hair very short like rihannas, and bleaching it platinum blonde, and im wondering, is the bleach really that bad?Do Salons have special bleach?
not if it is used correctly .salons have the option of using different volumes of peroxide.salons also have the knowledge to achieve the results you are hoping for.what color is your hair? if its brown or black it will probably take more than 1 bleaching.also it will require a toner .

it depends on the bed you choose and the length of time.... i would say between $5-$8

    Hair Salons?

If a Hair Salon is cheap does it mean there not as professional?

If a Hair Salon is expensive(In the mall) does it mean they are good professional and give good haircuts?Hair Salons?
A hair salon that is cheap means just that they are not charging as much for their services. There could be a number of reasons why a salon doesn't charge as much. but as far as being less professional No it does not mean that.

The same goes for a salon that charges a higher price. There are numerous reason why a salon would charge a higher price.

Here are a list of reason for either direction being cheaper or more expensive

    1. Location, and the clientel home income level for that area

    2. Products the salon choose to use, could be higher in price or lower in price, which in turn could mean quality

    3. Education Level of stylist

4.Supply and Demand, If there is an abundant of clients like for instance great clips has alot of clientel just walking in, so they can afford to lower their price cause they are serving many

but a salon that has a lower clientel may charge more, cause they spend time and in a salon time is money therefore the prices are higher

As you can see there are several factors that cause the price of a haircut to be either higher or lower

One thing is this, it doesn't matter the price if a stylist is a good hairstylist she/he is a good stylist no matter the price they charge.Hair Salons?
You get what you pay for is my philosophy regarding hair.

I think if you were just getting a trim, a cheaper place would be okay but if you dye your hair or get perms I would trust an upscale salon over a cheap place.

I only get my hair cut but i still go to expensive salons, it's just your preference.
It really depends on the stylist themself. Ask around and see if anyone has used a certain stylist at both places and see if the people are satisfied with the work.

A good stylist could be working at a cheap place because they just can't get a different job.

Well, I don't like the idea of specifically going for an 'emo'(a depression disorder) style, but sometimes you can do a cut at home as good as one at a salon. My mother is great at cutting hair, try finding a friend or family member who can help you with yours! Save money too!

    Nail Salons?

I went to the nail shop to get my nails done and I noticed on the walls all the Asian manicurist have American names on their license (i.e Sheila, Kathy, Jackson) but I know that it is not their birth names. Why is that? All the Asians that I know have Asian names. I wanted to ask when I was at the salon but I did not want to be offensive. Just curious. Thank youNail Salons?
because some asian names are really hard to pronounce and having american names would make it easier for the customers.Nail Salons?
so that it would be easy for white and black customers to refer to the asian manicurists since you guys have a hard time pronouncing asian names.
because alot of americans are racist when they see thier names. they may walk out because they think that immigrants can't do thier jobs properly. its the truth agree or not

bacterial infectionsDo u ask the workers at nail salons how they clean ever since the reports of?
First I make sure that I got to a reputable salon where you can see the autoclave right in sight so I know they are clean. However for my own personal protection I purchased a full set of tools to have my nails done so that when I go in I know that the tools being used on me have not been used on someone else. Most of the really good salons will recomend that you do this anyway.Do u ask the workers at nail salons how they clean ever since the reports of?
I usually take a look around to see if they are clean before letting them do anything to my nails. I have walked out of some before if they look sketchy.

Is Great Clips a good salon to get scene hair?

I live in Colorado and whats a good salon to get the ';scene hair'; I know what to ask for it but I'm wondering what is a good salon. Please answer even if you dont live in ColoradoIs Great Clips a good salon to get scene hair?
My best friend works at a salon in Colorado but I can't recall the name of it. Here's a list of salons that might help. http://www.topratedhairsalons.com/Colorado-Hair-Salons.htmlIs Great Clips a good salon to get scene hair?
from personal experience.....great clips hair stylists aren't that good...they're not bad...just average...it all depends on who is in there though...i would say go to a diff. one...but who knows..scene hair is really choppy so you cant mess it up too bad haha.
Great Clips is terrible and cheap. I went there a few times and they RUINED my hair! They make the sides uneven and the people who work there are rude.
I used to go to fantastic sams for my haircuts. It really just depends on the stylist but I had a good time there!

Now I go to this person who apparently did Miss China's hairstyle now xD Asian connections
yes i went there and is was good

  • Can you work in a salon with no formal training??

i'm just wondering the above question!

i am looking for jobs and i have dyed my hair for 4 years and love doing others hair. Can you work in a salon with no formal training??
NO you can't. You need a license.

In the past many clients got chemical burns and other damages from untrained people so now you really need formal training and a license. At the end they are just saving you from going to jail and/or having to deal with costly legal sues. Can you work in a salon with no formal training??
Probably not, most places require licensing and such, but I think the laws might vary from state to state.

Where is a good hair salon chain to go to?

I'm getting my hair trimmed, layered and possible highlights. i want to know of a good place i can get this done but for a cheap price.Where is a good hair salon chain to go to?
GREAT CLIPS :))Where is a good hair salon chain to go to?
A local beauty school is the very cheapest. But ask for a longer cut than you really want in case it needs to be gone over again.

Supercuts is one I've seen good work walk out of. They are usually at your local mall.

Another choice is to spot a good haircut or one you really like and compliment the person first and then ask where and which operator did her/his hair. I've used it especially when moving into a new city.
    cost cutters
total image. they are the best, have everything, and are a reasonable price.well in my opinion:D

hope this helped girly, and good luck:)
    I agree with supercuts!

How much would it cost to get a hair styled in a salon?

I live in California and want to get my hair styledHow much would it cost to get a hair styled in a salon?
Depending on the salon between $40-100How much would it cost to get a hair styled in a salon?
It would all depend on what salon you went to. If it's a cheap salon, I would guesstimate anywhere from $20-$100. If it's a ritzy salon, it could be anywhere from $40 to $250. Just shop around.

  • Poll: Do you go to a actual fancy hair salon or do you go to the local haircutting salon and get it done there

Personally, or rather my parents, take me to a local haircutting salon, like a mom and pop thing, not a chain haircutting salon, or the mall. Is it ok getting it cut from there, or should I ask my parents to take me to a more expensive place. I mean these guys are pretty good at cutting hair, the don't screw up most of the time, but you know just wondering which is better.Poll: Do you go to a actual fancy hair salon or do you go to the local haircutting salon and get it done there
it doesnt really matter who you go to. some people have just gone to the same person for a long time and if they do good they keep going to them. if the cheap one is good, i would keep going there. i go to a more expensive one because we know the lady personally, but it isnt very much different from anything else. she still messes up sometimes.Poll: Do you go to a actual fancy hair salon or do you go to the local haircutting salon and get it done there
I've run the gamut with hair salons. The best one is the one where you pay a fair price and they don't screw up. Some of the expensive salons I've gone to have messed up my hair so badly that I had to have it recut.

I am an realy light skined, and it's real hard for me to get a tan, any suggestions??? besides tanning salons

my friend layers jergens natural glow for face %26amp; banana boat sundial on her face, %26amp; banana boat sundial %26amp; l`oreal sublime glow on her body...she swears by these 3, she uses them all daily %26amp; she is super dark!!! she doesn`t have the orange color either!!!I am an realy light skined, and it's real hard for me to get a tan, any suggestions??? besides tanning salons
lay out in the sun with tanning lotion or tanning oil. if you don't want to lay out at all you can use sunless tanning lotionI am an realy light skined, and it's real hard for me to get a tan, any suggestions??? besides tanning salons
Girl, I could bet you a lot that I am whiter than you are! My skin is as white as paper almost. I dont even bother with trying to tan or using tanning lotions. Its to much trouble, trust me.

All the cream ones make you orange and all the spray-ons leave spots. Just DONT DO IT! Listen to me, I know from experience! Besides, your natural skin color is sooo much sexier then anything you can do to kill your skin or find on the shelves at walmart. Besides, EVERYBODY wants a tan and does what they can to get one! Why not stand out of the crowd with your white skin! Show them thats its not so bad!
there are alot of tanning lotions that are super good now. try coppertone
i think porcelain skin is BEAUTIFUL. look at nicole kidman and keira knightley and scarlett johanssen - they're super pale and absolutely stunning.

if you're really set on the tan, though, try MysticTan. it's $30, but it lasts for like a month. You get it done at a normal tanning salon, but it's spray-on, so not actually tanning, if your parents are worried about skin cancer and such. promise you won't be orangey or gross - it's professional, not do-it-yourself crap.
try TAN TOWEL or some kind of self tanning lotion, but be careful because if you don't put them on evenly you will have tan spots all over you!

    good luck!
get the.....jergens.........stuff its for natural glow and it can make u tanner and even though i have median to tan skin it worked for me.

Can i turn part of my house into a hair salon ?

I want to turn a garage and adjoining room in my house into a hair salon what does it entail red tape wise ?Can i turn part of my house into a hair salon ?
    Uk.

Phone your ';planning dept'; for their opinion for your area.

Then the matter of filling the forms and paying the fees and wait for ';planning'; to approve. Can i turn part of my house into a hair salon ?
you need to get a hold of your state board to find out for sure. But normally it will entail a private bathroom, all your supplies, a mop able floor, it will need to be totally separate from the house. Your city will have certain requirements that they will want too, like a licensed person to do all the work (plumbing etc.), and normally they will want you to go to all the neighbors and have them sign something that says that they agree to having a business in their neighborhood, that will have to do with the parking extra cars around etc. You will also have to pay fees to the city, and the state board of cosmetology since there is a business there. The up side you get to write all that off on your taxes and get to write off part of the house on your taxes too since it is now a business
While some of the issues regarding licenses, permits, and business names can be handled alone, some matters (including establishing your business and brand names) may require the help of a lawyer. So before you start, it's a good idea to line up a lawyer whose practice is focused on business. A good way to find a lawyer is to ask for recommendations from your accountant or business acquaintances. If you're not sure about needing help on an issue, ask your lawyer about it first. Your investment in legal fees now can help you avoid much bigger problems at a later date.

  • Why do the larger salon styler ghd's leave my hair in better condition than the medium sized ones?

no split ends, smoother etc. what is it about them? Why do the larger salon styler ghd's leave my hair in better condition than the medium sized ones?
Well maybe if your hair is quiet thick the larger one works better. Well thats what the larger one is for, were as the smaller ones are for the more thinner hair.
