no. u want ur hair in its natural state. if its straightened, the cut may look off when u decide to work with ur natural hair if u choose to dry cut...less products and tools makes it easier for the stylist/ barber to work with ur natural texture and hairline...they als o get a n idea on what products to reccomend and techniques/tips to give u for ur hair. just have a cut and style with ur natural hair.When going to the salon to get your haircut do you do your hair before you go?
