Well, first of all it could be hazardous to patrons. They could get serious infections and need antibiotics for treatments.





Of course if the violations are obvious, the establishment would lose business and eventually someone would report the violations.





After reports are filed with the Health Department the salon would get a visit from a health inspector. Usually the place isn't shut down permanently unless the violations are extremely severe, but the salon would be shut down until all problems were fixed. There would most likely be a substantial fine as well.





In a severe case, the owner / salon would be fined and licenses would be revoked making it hard sometimes for the owner to start another business, especially one in that particular area again.What would happen in a spa salon if safety and sanitation practices are not obeyed?
if it not sanitized a bacteria can get into peoples skin and get really infected.. i know sumone who went to a spa for a pedicure and she had a cut that got infected from the foot massager that wasnt cleaned rite.and she lost one of her legs... plus they can get shut down and possibly get arrested.
the regs are put there for a reason. and all states have a board of cosmetology that is SUPPOSE to inspect each salon each year, more often if needed. if there is a salon that isnt follwing regs and they are caught they could be fined or even closed, depending on the severity. if you have had a problem with a salon i suggest you notify your state board and let them handle the problem
