Tanning Salons..?

Tanning Salons.. whether beds or the spray on stuff. I've never done it but have been thinking about it. Yay or nay? I am really fair skinned and am scared to use the lotions in the store for a fake tan.Tanning Salons..?
I'm fair skinned to but use the tanning bed. Start out for a week at like 6 minutes on a 15 minute bed. Then move to 10 minutes for a few days and then to 15 minutes. Took me 5 weeks of tanning 4 days a week and now I am a bronze beauty! Now I can go 2 days a week for 15 minutes to keep the tan! You can do it! Don't do the spray stuff because it just washes off in the shower and has to be reapplied.Tanning Salons..?
I own my own tanning bed, and I love it. I don't think it is really anymore harmful than being out in direct-sunlight. I have NEVER seen any of the spray-on products look really great. Just start out slowly and develop your base tan. Use a high-quality lotion, and you will be able to tan even less to get the desired result. Just take good care of your skin otherwise.
Firstly, tanning products from the stores definitely do not give nice results.

Secondly, tanning beds cause premature aging and skin cancer.

Thirdly, I haven't tried the spray tans, but definitely plan to. I do know you have to exfoliate and moisturize the day before you go. :)
I like untanned skin myself.
I am really fair skinned also and got in a tanning bed one time and one time only. I was only in it for 10 minutes and it burned me so badly that even the palms of my hands were burned to a crisp. I couldn't even hold the steering wheel to drive myself home. I was in bed for about 5 days crying. So my advice... stay away from the tanning beds and even the sun if you're fair skinned. I never go out in the sun without a very high proof sunscreen on.
If you go to a tanning salon, use the minimum amount of time even if you think you could stay in longer. Tanning beds are VERY harmful if not used properly. The spray on tans are horrid.
...rock, not spray tans though, get in a bed 4 20 mins.
Never use the ';lotion-on'; tan kits. It turns you orange-toned, and you just look horrid.

Using a tanning bed is alright, as long as you follow the directions given and don't over-expose yourself to the ultra-violet lights (Tanning too often)

Spray-on tans are alright, but if done incorrectly, it leaves ';streaks'; and you look horrid. It's up to you, but I stick to good-old outdoor tanning.
If you live where it is cold, a tanning salon can feel so good! The light box therory! I think everyone tries it, be sensible use lotion and don't fry yourself. Self tanners are much better for you. Try Clarins After Sun Moisturizer with self tanning, I have used it for years and love it!
if you are fair skined(as you say you are) you only need to be in there 5 minutes the first time....dont go langer...it HURTS!!! you get sunburned really easily....and dont open your eyes....its really easy to get cancer if you use them alot...or a couple times.... and that spray tan i've never done but i think it would be better...do more reaserch...thats my best advise.
some of the lotions r good ive used them b4 they work good if u choose the right 1 and put it on evenly. its also safer then tanning beds or natural tannig bcause u dont catch skin cancer from it.
i have read a lot of books on the subject and everything says there is now such thing as a safe tan. Getting tans can cause skin canser.
first time only use tan bed for 5 min. if you are fair skin it can cause burning if you push it and use it longer. The 2nd time another 5 min. The 3rd time try 8 min. 4th 8 min. 5th then try 12 min.. an so forth. the spray stuff at the sloan maybe be a better way to go for you. My friend being fair skin got burned in the tan bed after 5 min only. So be careful, if you feel hot or bruning feeling get out....
If you live in a place like me where its really cold during the winter...tanning salons are so relaxing. but i know they are harmful which really sucks. but i know someone who ogt a spray on tan for a wedding ad it looked really good it just didnt stay on as long as pernament tanning does of course
I dont tan cause Im black lol but I've read it can be very harmful....like severely harmful, Check out the March issue of Cosmo Girl...it's in there!
i lay in the tanning bed. if you have fair skin, lay at like 5- 12 min. and work your way up. and if i was you i wouldnt go every single day go every other day b/c it can damage your skin..
cancer waiting to happen
